Our Friday Night services welcome the Shabbat through a combination of holiness, spirit, prayers, singing and learning that last about an hour. The service begins at 6:30 p.m. and is followed by an Oneg Shabbat where congregants have the opportunity to socialize.
Shabbat morning services begin at 9:00 a.m., and may include participation by B’nai Mitzvah students, individuals with special simchas or guest lecturers. The service consists of three parts: Shaharit, the Torah Service and Musaf. The entire service typically lasts about two-and-a-half hours. The congregation is led by Rabbi Michael Werbow along with a core of talented congregants, including several retired cantors. Following the service, everyone is invited to join the sit down Kiddush luncheon with the entire Temple Beth Sholom community. Baby-sitting is available.
