Dor V’Dor...
The choices we make today,
determine the legacy we leave when we are gone.

Sarasota Temple EndowmentOur choices send a message to those around us. They provide an example for others to follow. Our actions, generosity, and concern for the future tell others just how important it is to plan for the next generation. The responsibility to preserve our Jewish heritage is one that has been part of our culture for many generations. It is one of the foundations of our religion. It is woven into the very fabric of our people.

The financial obligations of maintaining and growing our temple community are great. Each member contributes to the life of our congregation in their own way. We count on our members as the sole source of support. One of the best ways to extend that contribution to your legacy is to consider the congregation in your plans for your estate. It is the best way to ensure that your values and commitments are preserved for the future.

As a family, we are proud of the ways in which we have always supported one another through Temple Beth Sholom. As family members, we are there for one another in times of need. Over the years, the temple leadership has identified many needs of our congregation. Some have been met, yet others must be put off for lack of financial support. It is for this reason that our leadership established the Temple Beth Sholom Endowment Fund in 2008.

Sarasota Temple Ldor VdorThe Temple Beth Sholom Endowment Fund was designed with two major goals in mind. First, the fund will provide for the long-term physical growth and enhancement of our temple and grounds, ensuring our ability to accommodate the growth of our congregation and to remain a vibrant center of Jewish faith and Jewish education. Second, the fund is our community’s way of ensuring that an exemplary educational tradition continues by increasing our schools’ ability to offer scholarships to deserving children and their families. A gift to the fund will ensure that no child is ever denied admission to our schools for financial reasons.

There are many options, large and small, available to contribute to the Endowment Fund.  Contributions can be earmarked for the synagogue, religious school, or day school, or any combination within. These include gifts of cash, real estate or other property, or naming Temple Beth Sholom as a beneficiary of your estate, life insurance policy or retirement plan.  Many of these options can result in significant estate and/or income tax benefit.  Join us as we embark on a new era in securing Temple Beth Sholom’s future and cementing the bond from one generation to another.
